Our Lease Horses
Leasing is a great next step for riders who want more time in the saddle and a deeper understanding of horsemanship. Having a consistent horse allows riders to practice between lessons, fine-tune their skills, build a partnership, and gain confidence both in and out of the saddle. It also provides a taste of the horse ownership experience—more riding time, grooming, care, and responsibility—without taking on the full financial commitment and responsibilities of owning a horse.
Toucan Keep A Secret
Toucan is a 12-year-old, 16.3h Friesian/Percheron mare looking for someone to love and trust her. She hasn’t always had it easy, so she can be slow to warm up, making her ideal for a patient leaser willing to earn her confidence. Toucan is settling back into a working lifestyle and has already come a long way—she has three smooth, Friesian-style gaits and has started crossrails under saddle. She’s brave, curious, and loves the idea of jumping; with the right partner, she could be competing by next season. There isn’t a mean bone in her body—no buck, rear, kick, or bite—and she’s a dream on the crossties, stalled, or in the trailer. Her only quirk is that she can be hard to catch at first, but she quickly rewards consistent attention and trust. Cisco
Cisco is a 14.1 19-year-old Spotted Saddle Horse gelding who offers the smoothest ride around. Gaited and easy to sit, he can still trot, canter, and even hop over small jumps. He’s great on the trails, solo or with company, and is happy to go with the flow. Cisco is a camp favorite for good reason—he’s friendly, sweet, and loves kids and adults alike. Though he has a touch of stubbornness, he responds well to confident, assertive riders. Once he knows you mean business, he’ll give you his best every time. Cisco would be a great fit for someone that’s looking for a reliable, safe horse to build their confidence out on the trail or in the arena.

Mo’ Pickles (Cucumber)
Cucumber is a 14.1h 11-year-old Connemara cross mare who’s all business under saddle. She’s forward, athletic, and loves to jump, making her perfect for advanced students in our lesson program. Though petite, Cucumber is full of fire and confidence. She loves to work, has a competitive streak, and thrives when she has a job to do. She’s brave, bold, and full of personality—an eye-catching little mare who’s impossible not to love.

Oh Danny Boy
Danny is a 14h 24-year-old Morab gelding who’s an absolute dream for beginners. With three smooth gaits and a “more woah than go” mentality, he’s the ultimate teacher. Danny can pop around a small course or casually cruise around the arena or trails—he’s as reliable as they come. A true golden boy, Danny is kind, calm, and endlessly patient. He’s helped many young riders get their start and is excited to be part of someone else’s journey. He’s a gentle soul who takes his job seriously and brings confidence to every rider.

Diamond In The Rough
Fiat is a 7-year-old 15.3h Appendix mare who’s wise beyond her years. She’s a lovely mover with three smooth gaits and has a careful, promising jump. While she’s still green, she’s incredibly willing and fun, making her a fantastic option for a confident rider wanting to bring along a quality young horse. Fifi is laid-back, sweet, and loves people. She’s affectionate and has great ground manners, always eager to please and try her best. For a baby, she’s incredibly mature and has quickly become a favorite in the barn for her steady nature and friendly attitude.

Havana
Havana is a 19-year-old 16.1h Standardbred mare who shines in the walk/trot world. While cantering isn’t her strength, she’s perfect for beginners, returning riders, or anyone looking to relax on trails or in the arena. She’s steady, sensible, and all about slow and steady rides. Sweet, thoughtful, and endlessly patient, Havana is truly one of a kind. She’s quiet to handle, easy to catch, and gentle in every way. If you’re nervous or just looking for a confidence boost, Havana will meet you exactly where you are.

Ambassedeur’s John
Johnny is a 24-year-old 14.2h Haflinger gelding who’s as steady as they come. He’s safe for confident beginners and up, with three comfy gaits and a willingness to pop over small jumps or explore trails. He’s got lots of miles left and still loves to work. Johnny is sturdy, reliable, and just a little bit cheeky. He’ll test new riders a little at first but warms up quickly and becomes a trusted partner. He’s a steady-eddy who loves treats and will always make you smile.

Maggie is a 15.3h 14-year-old OTTB mare with serious versatility. She’s athletic enough for the jumper ring and steady enough for a casual trail ride. Whether you want to school dressage, hop over jumps, or just enjoy your ride, Maggie’s your go-to. She’s been there, done that, and is always ready to go again. Maggie is as kind as she is talented. She’s affectionate, easy to catch, and loves to spend time with her person. Quiet on the ground and eager to please under saddle, she’s the total package—a horse you can bond with and trust completely.

Barron Sparrow Hawk
Nova is a 15h 21-year-old Quarter Horse mare who’s compact, powerful, and game for anything. She’s competed successfully in the jumper ring and enjoys trail rides, flatwork, and everything in between. She’s forward, fun, and full of buttons—perfect for someone ready to level up. Nova is sassy in the best way. She’s brave, confident, and loves her job. Whether she’s showing off in the ring or hitting the trails, she’s always all-in. She’s a barn favorite who loves to work and thrives on having a confident rider to partner with.

World On a Wing
Ringo is a seriously talented horse with all the makings of a competitive partner as he continues to work his way out of his green phase. Currently competing at 2' with a junior rider, he has a big, open stride, loves to jump, and genuinely enjoys his arena work.
Ringo is incredibly sweet, safe, and honest with no funny business under saddle. If he weren’t naturally so forward, we’d trust him with beginners! He’s best suited for a confident rider who can appreciate his enthusiasm and continue developing his skills. Despite his forward nature in the ring, Ringo is bombproof on the trails and will happily ride quietly on the buckle.
He is truly a special horse with a wonderful brain, plenty of talent, and so much potential for the right rider.

Dear Darla
Darla is our resident confidence builder and truly worth her weight in gold. She’s talented enough to compete into the .90m divisions, yet trustworthy enough to carry some of our littlest riders to their very first shows over poles and crossrails.
Darla is the definition of safe, steady, and reliable. She’ll trail ride alone, stand on the cross ties all day, happily tolerate baths and clipping, and trailer quietly. She’s scared of just about nothing and will jump just about everything!
For someone looking for their first lease horse, it’s hard to beat Darla. She offers the opportunity to build confidence, gain independence, compete, and experience having a horse of your own with a partner who truly knows her job.
